The sheath and hilt of silver. The fronts finely embossed in very high relief, including deep undercutting, with engraved details. The motifs consisting of Buddhist images of flowing serpentine dragons and dragon headed quadrupeds. Reverse with a flat field engraved in foliage. The hilt with two embossed floral clustered and the sheath with four floral cartouches. 7 3/4" blade of thick wedge section, back fullered and maker's marked at the forte. The left side inlaid with a brass S design. Excellent preservation with wonderful patina.
