Mid-19th century. 7 ¼” s.e. blade with long elegant false edge. Both sides decorated with scrolling foliage and geometry. The left inscribed Albacete. The right with Fabr del Albacete. Fine complex hilt with conical base and cage form grip of baluster bars enclosing a pierced hollow sphere. Two matching spheres comprise the pommel. Original black leather scabbard with brass mounts. Excellent throughout with a few small areas frosty surface to the blade. These complex examples represent the best of Albacete work and are very rarely found in undamaged condition as here.
