The top with matching panel and silver and copper figures flanking four impressed stamps. Chisel and punch decorated barrel bands sheathing most of its length with a short opening ate the step to round section, revealing three silver inlay panels. Good quality flint lock. The frizzen arm profusely chiseled. The cock with simpler chiseling. The lock plate with two silver maker's marks. The frizzen retainer, pan end, cock stop, and lock plate all with finely engraved silver panels. Original iron ram rod. Black wood stock with fine silver wire floral inlay to the butt. Additional segment ahead of the lock, mostly lacking. The stock behind the tang with fine silver wire and pellet band surrounding very fine mother of pearl inlay in scrolling motif. Nine additional inlays matching for quality including a lovely cursive inscription. Each with the M O P inlay to wood executed to the highest standard. A few small blemishes and losses but a very superior example in excellent preservation.
