10th-13th century, Andalusia (southern Spain). 2 1/4” length, finely forged with low ridge one side and flat the other. Very elegant form with long slender barbs and conical socket. Superb preservation for the period. Dating to the most colorful period for the region, the Reconquista, the retaking from the Moors under the Cordoba Caliphate, by Christians.
