13 1/2” blade of slender proportions, six waves with slight return starting the seventh. Finely forged mechanical Damascus steel with discreet laminar nickel rich veins defining the pattern. Delicately figured forte with two pierced fullers. Fine beaded edge silver gilt mendak set with a ring of bright stones, probably lower grade diamonds. The surface retaining much original gold overlay. Finely carved grip and scabbard throat. The scabbard stem entirely sheathed in brass, the face with intricately embossed and engraved foliage panel. These were worn by men well accomplished in the modern business world, in the belief that they had supernatural power. They were mounted to rest, after completion of the work day and return to the home.
