Displayed at the Monroe County Historical Museum, 2001-2. 74” length with large and particularly flamboyant head with up curled base spurs. Iron socket. Fine alternate woven split cane and red rattan wrap. Tapered shaft made without a base shoe. Fine preservation for the period. Collected during the Philippine Insurrection (1899-1902) at which time headhunting was still practiced.
