Gilt bronze, size 7 with 3.1mm round face band flaring at the shoulders. Round bezel with punch line edge border and central motif of five circles, representing the 5 wounds of Christ connected by lines. The lines are a reference to the pentagram which was a strong supernatural symbol originating in ancient Greece, surviving through the Roman Empire and embodied in early Christianity. Many ancient myths and supernatural beings were blended with early Christianity and some still persist today as superstitions. This ring was worn by a pilgrim making a once in a lifetime trip to the Holy Land. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold overlay restored. Gift box with a certification of authenticity.
