Late 9th-early 11th century AD. Rare Wearable size 8 1/2. Broad flat face, 7.3mm width. Hand decorated in five ranks with a medial with angled hatching flanked by a narrow fine stipple bands with matching stipple bands at the edge.  Excellent preservation. Vikings exchanged rings on the pommel of the groom’s sword. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold overlay restored. See the reference image which shows the process.
