Dramatically figured and fluted base projections. Ringed tapered bolster with integral cheek straps. Tapered oak haft. Head retains its crisp detail with light and medium pitting, a few abrasions from use. Haft shows traces of decoration with rich glossy patina from handling and use. Form used from the English Civil Wars through the Colonial Period and Revolutionary War.
