Alternate flats with three spikes to every second flat with plain flats between. Heavy iron top ring and thick diamond section fore spike. Especially fine rich patina with few minor bruises and worm holes-negligible. Enormous character. See Stone Fig. 374 No. 1 for an example of near identical proportions. Morningstars of smaller proportions such as this are well known but relatively rare.
