19th century, possibly as early as 1800. 9 3/8" diameter with blue lined gilt scalloped edge. The border embossed with lattice pattern. Cobalt blue decoration of a central floral splay with six smaller splays to the border. Transfer ware which was used in Staffordshire by the mid-18th century. The decoration here is of crisp delineation which was replaced about 1820 by flow blue. Expected wear to the gold and foot. Have a pair. Each.
