70 3/4” length with elaborate bronze head comprising central spear point with chiseled details including quadrisected circle and line and scroll borders. The medial with device made in six separate pieces, depicting an organic form from which springs a peacock tail like form. The extremities with trailing ribbon like streamers. Below, a full modeled horned dragon head slides freely on the blade base, probably to provide noise. Finely cast base mount like an urn in two stages on six legs. The lower with integral dragon or monster head gripping rings. Black lacquered shaft with the base formed as a knob verifying its full original length. Fine patina throughout and undamaged.
