Carved of one piece with root cluster ball and main shoot haft. 24 1/2" length of elegant form. The haft slightly tapered with slightly flared butt. The line of the haft continued as a crest or ridge through the forward semi circle of the head, disappearing through the striking face. The head with slight red pigmentation and the balance of honey color with fine glossy patina throughout. Some natural cleavage in the head and few narrow age cracks to the haft from being produced of green wood. Post contact period, probably dating to about 1800 or a little later.
