19” straight d.e. blade with silvered retainers and ferrule at the intricately figured root. Tapered grip wrapped in stacked bands of fine cord. Exotic wood bun shaped pommel. Original wood scabbard with the sheath wrapped in split cane. Figural throat with old crack, neatly secured in antiquity with split cane both sides. One segment broken. Rarely found in original condition with period repairs as these were valued largely for the blades. The hilts and particularly the scabbards were readily renewed as deemed necessary.
