Late 19th-early 20th century. 32" blade decorated 2/3 its length with Masonic motifs, Knights in armor, trophies of arms, Crusades battle scene, and owner’s name, all on gold ground and near as new. The base with maker’s name The Pettibone Bros Mfg Co Cincinnati O, just slightly weakened from resting the thumb during handling. Silvered hilt with red enameled cross (chips to the enamel). The scabbard with enameled mounts in its original cloth protective bag. About as well preserved for the period as they come.
