Second quarter of the 13th century. Sixth Crusade which was fought primarily by Holy Roman Emperor Frederick II. Just over 6” length with wedge section blade. The left side crisp maker’s mark. Both bronze grip caps are intact. Tapered tang (end lacking) with hole for securing pins for the wood or antler grips (now perished). Superior preservation for the period.
