1096-1291. An actual pendant is worn by a crusader nearly 1000 years ago! Circular, pierced with a cross potent, "crutches" at the beam ends. Thus, it is also known as the Jerusalem Cross. This example is profusely detailed with the outer ring crenulated or roped. The beam "crutches" are formed by scroll ends. It is just under 1" in diameter (0.93”) plus the intact suspension loop. The front is modeled in relief with a crenulated pattern to the cross. Plain back.
