Provincial construction. Hilt of conventional form with brass mounts flanking leather covered grip. 35" curved narrow back fullered s.e. blade made for use on horseback. Two piece wood scabbard, leather covered (about 90% remaining) with brass mounts intact and original suspension with iron buckle. Blade smooth with light surface abrasions mixed with islands black staining and pitting comprising about 3-5% of the surface. Honest early working example from the remote mountain regions.
