Late 18th century-1800. Classic form, 20 3/8” length with 12 1/4” barrel, gracefully flared from the middle to the muzzle and thickened faceted breech chiseled with foliage and crescent and stars. Mediterranean walnut stock with silvered back escutcheon. Small check to the muzzle end. Brass ramrod. Brass furniture, the saddle ringside plate with remnants of silver plate. Flat plate lock with swan neck cock. The tail with crescent and star engraving. Good clean example.
