Found in a Hudson River Valley Revolutionary War camp site and evidently served multiple generations. Iron, 6 1/2” length with large frame suitable for a trooper’s (Cavalryman’s) boot rather than an officer. The terminals with down turned buckle eye terminals. Thick slightly down curved shank expanded the support the rowel axle. Excavated with some original detail mixed with erosion.
