Ex: Schindler’s Antiques, King Street, Charleston, purchased about 1980. Silver alloy, size 11 with raised hand stippled bezel set with an oval cabochon, probably glass. The shoulders hand engraved with flowers in a radial splay, probably indicating a plantation and a Confederated owner. It was common for cavalry troopers to remove their rings before battle as they marginally compromised the purchase of the sword grip.
