Gettysburg area, purchased from a "relic shack" adjacent to the battle field in the early 1970’s. Bronze, size 9 1/2 with slightly oval band reeded and indented at the shoulders. Large rectangular bezel for a stone, now lost. Cleaned overall. Almost surely Confederate, the workmanship typical of the cottage industries on rural plantations which filled gaps in the work schedule and served to capitalize the tools and simple machines used.
