Three-blade fleam with horn side scales. The outer blade maker’s marked NEW YORK KNIFE CO WALDEN NY, recorded working 1858 and after.  3 1/2” length closed. Bloodletting is claimed to have been the most common medical practice performed by surgeons from antiquity until the late 19th century. Blades and markings excellent, with minor insect damage to the grip scales.
