CHINESE WOMAN’S SHOE FOR FOOT BOUND FOOT

19th century. 4” length of traditional Lotus Shoe style. Finest woven material with superb hand stitched decoration. The bottom molded in three segments, each with a tiny sole, but no evidence of wear, as these were worn by women rendered immobile by the foot binding custom.
