18th century. Classic form with medially ridged indented base leaf form point on butted seam conical socket. Made in two pieces with distinct forged weld at the top of the socket. Socket edge pierced with a hole for securing pin. Chocolate brown patina with uniform scattered old oxidation texture on original tool finish. 17 3/8" length. The spear in China was used in a much more structured way with specific moves for cutting, thrusting, hamstringing etc.
