The pommel and base ferrule en suite with the guard. The whole deeply chiseled in foliage and related motifs. 21” narrow fullered slightly curved blade decorated in foliage. A civilian weapon for use in the streets. Compelling similarity of form and proportions to the English Hounslow hangers of the same period. The grip as found on gunner’s stilettos of the period.
