19th century. 12 1/2" d.e. blade with deep offset fullers, the front one flanked by two crisp maker's marks. Well grained black wood grip with flare top surmounted by a gilt studded mount. Flared base sheathed in gilt brass with a circular mount set with four green "gems." Blade crisp, quite bright with minor finger staining, few scattered black speckles and evidence of forged construction. Hilt about excellent with a few minor bruises to the bottom mount. Fine large proportions.
