Collected in the 1950's from the battle site during construction. This example is one of four available (FNS1241a-d) ranging from .55 cal to .60 Cal, each with the sprue intact. Made for Pennsylvania long rifle or German rifle. White crusty surface from damp burial. Rifle balls with the sprues intact are found frequently enough to conclude that they were fired in that form, evidently to inflict a more severe at short range.
