M.1904 Wagner #128. 33 3/4" quill back blade with raised top edge point. Plated with minor flaking only, the forte marked BOLINGER STAHL. Rolled edge elongated iron guard pierced with foliage with machine rolled detail. The choice of foliage allowed for the piercings to be small and curved, providing optimal protection against penetration, still lightening the element. Silver wire wrapped sharkskin (complete, light wear) covered grip. Iron scabbard quite bright with remnants of plating, lacks the throat mount. This pattern was used extensively in World War I which saw the last practical and large scale use of mounted cavalry.
