Forged iron of fine flamboyant form, probably French. 5 1/2" length, the angled back edge pierced for a hinge. The upper edge with sunk border, dimpled to accomodate the visor. The lower edge stepped and turned over (doubled) for strength. The front pierced for a chin strap. Central hole to facilitate hearing. Excellent for the period. Ex.
