Iron, 20 ¼” length with medially ribbed spear point and elegantly swept axe opposite the curved back fluke. Tapered socket with medial ridge continued from the spear point. Decorated both sides in foliate panels and armorial ovals including the crossed keys (“keys of the kingdom”) of the royal arms of the Holy Roman Empire. Quite smooth with pitting to the last 4 ½” of the point. Could be polished out or fine as it is. Could be mounted for dramatic display.
