Forged iron 3 ¾” greatest dimension with center hole as is typical. The edge (worn) with 3-3 nail hole arrangement. These were worn by chariot horses and have been recovered at known battle sites. There is some disagreement about the invention of the horseshoe with a minority opining that it was the druids, however, historians largely agree that it was the Romans, and this is one of the earliest ones.
