Heavy bronze hilt with relief Roman arms display to the grip. 22” curved broad fullered blade, unmarked, with long false edge. Sometimes called theatrical, these are much too heavy and potentially lethal to support that conclusion. Another attribution is that they were made for the 1893 Columbian Exposition, which fits chronologically, but lacks any documentation. Time will tell. In any event, a handsome and, we believe, made to be functional, short sword.
