Bag shaped quillon block and olive form pommel pierced en suite. The knuckle bow, arms and quillon chiseled to match. Copper wire and wrapped grip. 28 7/8” flattened diamond section blade decorated at the forte with baroque motifs including a cross and central panel of an angel confronting a peacock with its back turned to him, over motto Amour Haijt L’orgueil (love hate pride). The decoration all on gold ground substantially intact. Grip and hilt excellent. The blade with smooth mottled patina as expected. Finely made and exceptional preservation.
