Dr. John Wall sold the Worcester factory in 1783 to Thomas Flight marking the end of the \"First Period\" and the use of the underglaze crescent mark. Thomas Barr joined the company as partner in 1792 and for a few years, its works were marked with a hand scribed B on the bottom. This cup and saucer was made by Flight, in those transitional years. In form and decoration, it matches its predecessors produced in the Dr. Wall period, thus establishing the continuity of the pattern through three ownerships of the Worcester factory. Excellent with the gold well preserved. Just weak in the well of the cup.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Fagan Arms","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":43524530602102,"sku":"C5871*","price":245.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0554\/1957\/files\/C5871A.png?v=1760967361","url":"https:\/\/www.faganarms.com\/en-au\/products\/second-period-worcester-tea-cup-and-saucer-1783-91","provider":"Fagan Arms","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
