The period was known as the Dark Ages after the fall of the Roman Empire. Silvered bronze, size 10 with 3.4mm rounded face band flaring to the cross banded shoulders. Oval bezel with a figure based on the familiar “Star of Bethlehem” as popular for rings of the period. In this example, the center, usually diamond shape, has distinctly been shaped to cross form with three points of diamond shape and the fourth extended to the bezel edge, forming the center beam and combining the two sacred images.
