9th-10th century, Cambridgeshire England. Bronze, with a rounded face and of 1.8mm width. Made for wear between the first two joints of the small finger as was the custom. Fine ancient character. Vikings exchanged rings on the pommel of the groom's sword. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored.
