Pre 1899, from the General Harry Bandholtz Collection which won first prize at the St. Louis Exposition of 1905. 17 ½” wedge section blade tapered in thickness from its root. Crisp with gray patina and a little raised rusting toward the point. Carved wood hilt with finger stall grip and incised conifer motif tapered pommel. The base with a heart pierced copper band ferrule. Well used with short crack.
