Burmese/Siamese/Indochinese, Late 19th century-1900. 40 5/8" total length. The hilt and scabbard made of segments of white metal skillfully embossed in foliage and tendrils. The pommel top as a chrysanthemum flower with central inscription. Fine 25 1/4" slightly curved s.e. wedge section blade overlaid with silver figures of nobles at various pursuits and curvilinear calligraphy. Blade clean, crisp and excellent. Exterior excellent as well. Wonderful display. Size and quality generating a striking presence.
