Iron hilt with saddled back strap and double side bars. Wire wrapped black leather grip. 31 ½” broad fullered s.e. blade, unmarked. Condition typical for the period. Complete, The iron with gray patina and frosty oxidation. The blade showing distinct laminar pattern indicative of wrought iron construction. Undoubtedly served in the Napoleonic Wars.
