ROMAN BRONZE TURTLE HEAD

1st-3^rd century AD. Modeled in the full round in vicious attack mode with opened mouth, bulging eyes, and sinuous neck muscles tensed for the strike. Broken from a larger figure. Skillfully sculpted, cast and chased with fine patina.
