Found by metal detector around 2000 at Ypres (Belgium) scene of some of the most intense fighting with English and French bringing the German advance to a stalemate. Made of aluminum salvaged from ordnance. Size 8 3/4 with rounded very broad 8.2mm band cut with a single v to the edge and a single angled mark, unfinished, likely by the death of the soldier. Gray surface oxidation.
