17th century. 29 1/8" length. Cane shaft with inset wood nock. The nock and fletch area pigmented. Fletching lacking as always found, but remnants indicate a four feather fletch. Fine kite-shaped flat flesh cutting point on the tapered conical socket. The head beautifully decorated in a gold overlay (koftgari) in herringbone patterns on the socket and scrolls on the point. Used in the war of expansion under the 17th century Mogul Emperors, Akbar, Jahangir, Shah Jahan, and Aurangzeb.
