Brass hilt with eagle pommel and guard show original gold surface in protected areas. Floral motif knuckle bow. Wire wrapped ray skin grip. 28” diamond section blade well decorated half its length with foliage, eagle, U S, and military motifs (frosty gray patina and a few minor superficial nicks). The ricasso with retailer’s name, RIDABOCK & CO NEW YORK which sold swords from 1847 on. Plated scabbard with brass mounts matching the hilt. Good representative example.
