Tapered cylindrical form, hand-shaped, just over 1/2” diameter. Some original rich glossy blue glaze remaining.  The balance is worn from burial. Vikings valued beads over gold and have been known to steal beads for ransom or tribute to call off raids. Beads of this type have been found at the cemetery at Smorrenge in Bornholm, Denmark. Original Viking relic and a fine centerpiece for modern jewelry creation.
