Decorated throughout with gold koftgari borders to the bit and socket and anatomical details to the tiger. All gold showing minimal wear only. The iron with soft gray patina. Oval section wood haft inlaid both sides with bone stylized crosses. The top and bottom with bone pellets. Bone butt cover. Dating to the period of military strength in Lahore and Punjab, under Aurangzeb, son of Shah Jahan. Untouched early example as rarely seen on the market.
