Late 19th to early 20th century. Standard pattern (P.153) in use 1872-1923. 28 medial ridged blade etched with M A flanked by foliage and Lilly makers name. Opposite side with the officers name. Gilt hilt shows original gold in protected areas with good patina to the balance. Blade bright with few small spots of plating flaked and smooth patina below, toward the point. Scabbard excellent with some gold showing in protected areas and 100% plating intact. Fine for Indian Wars, or WWI collection.
