Brass hilt with stirrup form guard and lion head pommel. Hand engraved with mane and facial details to the lion. The cross guard engraved with two flowers among foliage. Reverse with rudimentary stipple rendition of the same composition. Wire wrapped leather covered grip. 30 broad fullered curved blade finely etched with turbaned noble, perhaps one of the Magi, man in the moon, stars and cabalistic inscription. Hilt shows dark patina. Grip sound and complete with the leather slightly shrunk from age. Blade excellent with a few small blemishes along the back. The edge carefully sharpened for use and showing a few edge nicks in the percussion area. The Prima Plana (First Party) was comprised of selected members from Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia. The design and decoration of the sword which incorporates both Ottoman and European themes reflecting their Eastern European roots...
