Iron, of good form and large proportions with 28 1/2" broad double fullered wedge section blade struck with the "eye brow" mark found on Italian swords and probably a blade imported from Italy. Hilt with large dished radially fluted pommel, canted swelled medial grip, straight cross guard with pierced, recurved tip knuckle bow and fretted tip langets. Blade shows smooth mottled patina. Grip matching with darker color and a few forging flaws.
