27 1/2 overall. Iron head with crescent form blade with two delicate back nubs and curved back spike, etched each side with a nobel or deity feeding forest animals. Brass haft decorated in repeated pattern of a flower bud in scrolling vine lattice. Rounded iron butt cap and iron fore spike with rounded support. Head shows smooth gray patina with the etching quite crisp. Haft shows dark patina from handling, the decoration crisp and contrasting. Fine form.
